My name is Fabrizio Serial, from Argentina. I am a software engineer who loves being involved in solutions to real problems. I consider myself creative, innovative, proactive, curious, and demanding, which ensures that my solutions are not only technically feasible but also of good quality from their conception.

April 2020 - July 2021
I created some designs for a traveling app, a virtual wallet and a bike shop. And developed some of those implementations using web technologies

Frontend Engineer @ AI Cybersecurity Platform
I designed and developed a platform for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) that allows them to gather crucial information about vulnerabilities and industry news using Cybersecurity Agents. In this project, I was part of the Frontend team and the sole designer, so I adapted both existing and future designs to align with current market standards, drawing on guidance from AI chat platforms.
Technologies: React, Shadcn, Apollo, Figma
Frontend Engineer @ Trading Cards Web
Developed a web application for trading cards, building the platform from scratch in just two weeks to deliver a demo for potential investors. Additionally, I implemented microinteractions to enhance the user experience, giving the app a high-quality, polished feel.
Technologies: Next.js 14, StyledComponents, useQuery, Figma
Frontend Engineer @ Cybersecurity Platform
Designed, developed, and tested key features of the platform. I migrated legacy Ruby code to functional React components and collaborated with the backend team to integrate VirusTotal. Additionally, I worked with the UI team to improve and develop components used across other teams, contributing to the internal component library.
Technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript (React, Ruby), StyledComponents, StyledSystem, Jest, Figma
Frontend Engineer @ Oncological Clinic Platform
Led the frontend team, ensuring the app was optimized for both web and mobile platforms. To reduce development time and maintenance, I researched and implemented React Native for Web. I developed the project's foundation and key user flows. One challenge was managing the design system's styling, particularly using StyledComponents/native, which lacked hover state support. I resolved this by using RNCSS, a StyledComponents wrapper supporting both mobile and web. We also used Storybook for component testing, which streamlined the development process across platforms.
Technologies: TypeScript, React Native for Web, RTK Query, Storybook, RNCSS, Figma
Frontend Developer @ Educational Webapp
Contributed to the migration and feature development during a complete redesign of the app. I restyled the platform and built critical features that significantly enhanced user experience. A major challenge was optimizing heavy frontend logic that caused slow load times. I improved performance by refactoring the data structure and implementing virtualized lists. I also collaborated with the design team to optimize UX.
Technologies: React, Redux, StyledComponents, Cypress, GraphQL with Apollo, Figma
Frontend Developer @ Events App
Developed the onboarding flow, gathering user acquisition data and integrating Segment for event tracking. Working with Next.js 12, I implemented best practices for optimizing both server- and client-side modules. I also documented the entire process and created a reusable component to streamline future event tracking.
Technologies: Next.js 12, GraphQL, StyledComponents, Figma
Frontend Developer @ Loan Application
This was one of my earliest projects with the company. I learned Next.js 11 by implementing the onboarding flow, which involved complex logic and integrating Plaid for account linking. I also redesigned the dashboard interface.
Technologies: Next.js 11, Axios, EmotionJS
June 2023 - Now
Team Leader @ Educational App
Led a project to innovate training delivery for companies and courses, managing a team of 8 developers and 1 designer. Contributed to early design decisions, selected the technology stack, and implemented Scrum to deliver weekly features. Launched a pilot with 76 users after five months, successfully validating content for new residents. Then, based on the results we got, we decided to launch the app for 3600 users that were trained by this app during 2 years. Gained valuable experience in leadership, client management, and monitoring production apps.
Technologies: Expo, Spring, NestJS, AWS, Figma, LogRocket, Sentry, Appium
Team Leader @ Patient Tracking App
Led a health-tracking app for doctors and patients, evolving the solution through multiple iterations and tech migrations (Kotlin to React, AWS). Managed 3 teams through prototyping, testing, and feature refinement to ensure value delivery. Actively involved in designing wireframes and ideating new features.
Technologies: Expo, Spring, React, AWS, LogRocket, Sentry, Appium
Team Leader @ File Recognition App
I led the research and implementation of a platform to analyse official documents from 1891 to 2024. The biggest challenge was being able to automatically read files that were drafted prior to digitisation. By using various OCR strategies, AI models, and data extraction techniques, we were able to identify fields that were necessary to categorise a large portion of the documents. In this project, we created not just an app to view files, but also a dashboard for manual content validation.
Technologies: NextJS, Microsoft OCR, AWS, Figma
